Where are you located? Do you travel?

I'm currently located in Atlanta, GA. This makes me readily availability throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic area. I also spend time in Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay area, which has a special place in my heart as my childhood home state. As a travel photographer with a well-worn passport, I'm also available to travel!

What is your style?

As a fine art photographer and photojournalist, I look for unique perspectives that are natural and timeless. Like my landscape and nature photography, I shoot with the intention of making photographs that will be cherished and passed on for generations.  As a quiet observer, I feel honored to share my passion while preserving these special moments.

Weddings

How do I reserve the date of my wedding?

Booking is easily done via email or in person. Simply message me here or give me a call. Your date is saved once I receive a copy of your signed contract and a non-refundable retainer (30% of total). During the busy wedding months, I receive multiple inquiries. Please note that the date remains open until your signed contract and retainer is received.

Can we meet before the wedding?

Of course! I would love to get to know you, learn more about you and yours, and share examples of my work. I'm most often available in the Atlanta area and I travel to Maryland almost every other month. It's never a problem if I'm not in your area; many couples have booked me without first meeting in person. I'm always available to talk via phone or video chat!

What should I consider when planning the big day?

I recommend setting aside at least 30-40 minutes on your wedding day for couples portraits and an additional 20-30 minutes for portraits of the wedding party and family. Taking a quiet moment to pause from the excitement of your wedding day allows me to capture beautiful photographs as a couple for your collection! I'm a flexible photographer and can comfortably change plans to suit your needs throughout the day. Preparing to photograph your wedding day begins well in advance, and I look forward to discussing these aspects of the day throughout your planning. You'll also receive a "shot list" questionnaire before the wedding day to cover any details and help us outline your specific photography expectations.

Do you have backup equipment and liability insurance? What happens if you have an emergency?

Absolutely! In addition to multiple backup camera bodies, I have a wide assortment of lenses (wide, telephoto, close-up, portrait, etc.), batteries, filters and more. I also have equipment and professional liability insurance which is sometimes a requirement of wedding venues.

In the unlikely event that I have an emergency, I will do everything possible to secure a replacement through my large network of talented professionals and my association with leading professional organizations. In my 15-years as a professional photographer I've never been unable to devote myself fully to a scheduled shoot.

How and when will I receive my photos?

All photographs are typically delivered 3-4 weeks after your wedding in digital format on a flash drive (approx. 500-700 images). You'll also receive a private online link for viewing/sharing the collection and purchasing prints or products. I'm a perfectionist with editing and post-processing and may require an additional 1-2 weeks during busy wedding months. I always try to deliver a "sneak peak" of 10-20 images soon after the wedding for you to have while I work on the full set of images.

Can we print photographs ourselves or share our images online?

I release full rights for personal use after final payment, allowing you to print photographs for friends and family with any online lab or at home. You can also share your images online.

Unless discussed, please note that this does not allow you to sell, edit or use the images in advertising in print or online. If you're interested in submitting to blogs or publications just let me know and I'd be glad to chat more!
